When you post a job on The Right Fit, you’ll have the option to set the usage requirements for your project—for example, “Australia, Online & Magazine, 12 months.” This creates a legally binding contract covering that specific usage.
The rate you list should include both the talent’s shoot time and the usage outlined in the project. Be sure to factor this into the total amount you’re offering.
If you require any additional usage beyond what was originally agreed on, this must be negotiated and paid through The Right Fit. You can handle this easily by using the ‘Pay Additional’ feature on the job listing to cover rollovers or extended usage.
We understand that calculating usage and licensing can be tricky, so we’ve broken it all down for you in this blog: An Industry Guide on What to Charge.
